2022 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
While the nature of the COVID-19 health crisis has created a situation in which we are navigating many unknowns, below is an update for this Winter's program.
- This summer 2022 we are back in person at various community center sites! Safe social distancing practices will be encouraged. Please see below the summer 2022 schedule for dates, times and locations.
- Youth participants must reside within the Sacramento city limits to participate in the program. What does this mean? For more information to see if you are within the Sacramento city limits, look up your address with the “Find My District” tool to find which Council District you reside in.
- All instructional program sessions are held in person at a community center twice a week, three hours a day, for eight-weeks, unless noted no program sessions due to holidays and city building closure.
- Participants must complete a Parent/Guardian & Student Information Packet and a W9 & 590 Tax Form. Staff will be available to discuss, go over, review, and answer questions that may arise.
- To receive the monetary stipend, we ask participants to fully commit to all eight weeks, engage in groups discussion, collaborate on community service project activities, and complete a mock interview. During the program cycle, youth participants are allowed no more than two excused/unexcused absences.
