PRIME TIME TEEN (PTT)

Prime Time Crew at Front Street Animal Shelter

Prime Time Teen City of Sacramento

Prime Time Teen is an eight-week interactive workforce readiness and skill development program available for young people between the ages of 13-17. The program places an emphasis on engaging participants in the development of 21st Century workforce readiness skills and the creation of a youth-led community service project. All participants who meet attendance goals and participate in the youth-led community service project will receive a $500 stipend.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

While the nature of the COVID-19 health crisis has created a situation in which we are navigating many unknowns, below is an update for this year's program.

  • Youth participants must reside within the Sacramento city limits to be eligible to participate in the program. What does this mean? For more information to see if you are within the Sacramento city limits, look up your address with the “Find My District” tool to find which Council District you reside in.
  • All instructional program sessions are held in person at a community center twice a week, 2.5 hours a day, for eight-weeks, unless noted no program sessions due to holidays and city building closure. Additional weekly individual assignments will be assigned.
  • Participants must complete a Youth Parent/Guardian Information Packet and a W9 & 590 Tax Form. Program staff will be available to discuss, go over, review, and answer questions that may arise during the PTT Orientation Night. Check dates on the schedule.

  • To receive the monetary stipend, we ask participants to fully commit to all eight weeks, engage in groups discussion, collaborate on community service project activities, and complete a mock interview.
  • During the program cycle, youth participants are allowed no more than two excused/unexcused absences.

  • Youth may participate and complete the program up to a max of two times only.
