The Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment provide the following youth sports, fitness & wellness programs:

YOUTH SPORTS, FITNESS & WELLNESS PROGRAM VIRTUAL RESOURCES

In response to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 we have put together some resources to link you to sports and fitness activities that can be done at home. Check it out! Be safe, stay healthy! 

BASKETBALL

  • NFL @ Home
    Keeping active while social distancing is an important part of staying home and staying strong. With Prepare to Play virtual videos, training for ages 14 and up can be done anywhere at home and without much equipment — all you need is a little space and some determination. Check back weekly for new videos.

BASEBALL/ SOFTBALL

  • Junior Giants At Home
    FREE program for all youth ages 5-18. Attend LIVE, online practices and get access to training videos from the San Francisco Giants Coaching staff. Spring Virtual season starts on Monday, May 11 and concludes Saturday, June 6. 2020.

  • MLB @ Home
    Need something fun to do while at home? Your favorite baseball teams have you covered. Lots of MLB teams are posting games, coloring pages and more to help keep young baseball fans busy. Check out these baseball-themed activities from MLB and teams around the league.

    Recess at home. Young people need play to stay active and engaged. We want to share our expertise to help keep kids engaged in play during this challenging time.

  • BOKS
    With many schools being closed and kids at home, BOKS has many games and activities to keep young people active and happy during this difficult time. Anxiety is at an all-time high and one of the best ways to reduce stress in young people and adults is to get exercise– here are some free and accessible resources that can be done at home.

YOUTH SPORTS, FITNESS & WELLNESS PROGRAMS 

Youth Sports

Youth will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of sports in our Youth Development based, instructional sports leagues. We offer two separate leagues: Elementary (4th-6th) and Middle School (7th-8th).

Junior Giants

Non-competitive, skill-based baseball/softball league open to all boys and girls, ages 5-13. Players will receive all necessary equipment to play, baseball/softball hat, glove and shirt.

Youth Fitness & Wellness

Youth will learn different exercises, routines and the importance of healthy lifestyle habits/choices in our Youth Development based fitness and wellness program. We offer two separate programs: Elementary (4th-6th) and Middle School (7th-8th).

28th and B St. Skate & Urban Art Park

Skaters are invited to ollie and grind our indoor street course of a bowl, quarter pipes, fun boxes, and grind rails.
