Brenda Delgadillo

Meet Police Administrative manager Brenda Delgadillo

Office of Investigations – Fiscal Operations Division

Police Administrative Manager Brenda Delgadillo began her career with the Sacramento Police Department in 2006. She is assigned to Fiscal Operations & Fleet Management.

Brenda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis is Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. Her professional development includes Management Concepts classes in grant management, and CPOA’s Leading the Professional Employee course.

Brenda is the recipient of the department’s Employee of the Quarter award. She is proud of her work on the department’s annual budget process.

Brenda was drawn to work in law enforcement after having had only two employers since she began working at age sixteen:  Funderland in Land Park and the City of Sacramento. Brenda began her city career in what was the Parks & Recreation Department, working the summer before her senior year in high school in a program through the Oak Park Community Center at a local park. The day after her high school graduation, she started with the 4th R Program and worked there while attending college. She always thought that she would find a job within Parks & Rec and that’s where she would stay, as her sister had done. However, an opportunity presented itself to work at the Police Department, and she took it. She started as an Accounting Technician, then promoted to Junior Analyst, then Administrative Analyst, Administrative Officer, and finally, to her current position as Public Safety Administrative Manager. Brenda has been with SPD for almost 15 years and couldn’t be happier. It’s like a family, and she truly believes that those who work here try to do the right thing for the community we serve.
