Project Description

The project constructed frontage improvements including new curb, gutter, sidewalk, street lighting, tree planting and pavement resurfacing on Bell Avenue between Village Green Drive and Pinell Street, North Avenue between Pinell Street and Winters Street, and Pinell Street between Bell Avenue and North Avenue.

Benefits

The project improves pedestrian safety and neighborhood livability.

Costs and Funding

The total project cost is $3.9 million. Funding is provided by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Community Reinvestment Capital Improvement Program (CRCIP), and local transportation funds.

Schedule

Construction for Bell Avenue started in July 2011 and was completed in September 2011.

Construction for North Avenue started in September 2012 and was completed in June 2013.

Construction for Pinell Street started in June 2013 and was completed in December 2013.
