NORWOOD AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT OVER ARCADE CREEK
Figure 1- May 2012
The project removed and replaced the structurally deficient Norwood Avenue Bridge over Arcade Creek with a wider and higher bridge that meets current standards.
The new bridge eliminates the need for road closure during high creek flows and improves pedestrian and public safety.
Costs and Funding
The total project cost is $10 million. Funding is provided by Major Street Construction Tax and Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) funds.
Construction started in June 2011 and was completed in May 2012.
