Project Description

The segment of West El Camino Avenue from Truxel Road to Northgate Boulevard was identified as a street with an opportunity to incorporate active transportation and safety improvements. The project will include microsurfacing and base repair over the entire project scope, traffic signal improvements, and buffered Class II bike lanes. Pedestrian lights and crossing enhancements will be installed at the proposed pedestrian crossing connecting the Ninos Parkway Trail.

  • Restripe travel lanes to add buffered Class II bike lanes and improve bicycle connectivity
  • Add green bike lane conflict markings at Truxel Road and Stone Creek Drive
  • Improve traffic signals at all intersections with video detection and closed-circuit TV (CCTV)
