FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) and Documents

WHAT IS THE TRANSPORTATION PRIORITIES PLAN?

In the last 20 years, City Council approved over 700 transportation projects throughout the City. However, there was currently no way to prioritize all those projects to determine what should get built now because it’s a high priority or later because it’s a priority but less of a priority.

The Transportation Priorities Plan is a planning project to listen to community values around transportation investment and then take those values to develop a prioritization process so that projects that best meet our values rise to the top and are priority for investment. The outcome are projects organized by priority for transportation investments.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TRANSPORTATION PRIORITIES PLAN AND OTHER CITY TRANSPORTATION PLAN DOCUMENTS?

The Transportation Priorities Plan prioritized approved transportation plans and projects for funding and implementation. It will not create new projects or plans. It is a citywide effort, just as transportation funding opportunities are citywide.

What Projects were Prioritized?

Transportation projects that have been approved by City Council, those that included community engagement, and are in a plan or study are those that will be prioritized. For a list of projects, please see HERE
