Speakers:

Pamela Sanchez is the Education Programs Manager for the Sacramento Tree Foundation, and has been gladly talking to people about trees for over a decade. She is an ISA certified Arborist, Municipal Specialist. 

William Granger is the City of Sacramento’s Water Conservation Coordinator and is a certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor with the Irrigation Association. He has served as the City’s Water Conservation Coordinator since early 2013.

December Tree pruning workshop - December 7, 2019

The City of Sacramento is hosting a workshop to help you grow healthy trees! This interactive workshop will teach you how to water and prune young trees, ensuring they grow to be strong and drought resilient. This workshop features a classroom portion followed by an outdoor field training with hand-on experience with young trees.

Healthy trees create healthy neighborhoods by improving air quality and providing shade during hot summers. Healthy trees can also save you money on your monthly bill and improve property value! Smart watering and pruning methods are key to keeping your trees healthy and thriving in a water wise landscape.

The Free Community Workshop is on Saturday, December 7 from 8:45 AM – 11:30 AM! Workshop will be held at the Luther Burbank High School, 3500 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA 95823. Sign up today at bit.ly/DecTreeWorkshop!

October Rain Barrel Event - October 26, 2019

The City of Sacramento’s Department of Utilities is holding another rain barrel event as part of Water Discovery Day celebration! Sacramento residents can order up to two (2) rain barrels at a discounted rate! All rain barrels are priced under $30, while supplies last.

So hurry and place your order before the Oct. 13 deadline by visiting the link below. And don’t forget to sign up at the event for a tour of the Water treatment plant! The distribution event is on Saturday, October 26 from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM!

Sacramento Garden Showcase - July 27, 2019

City of Sacramento homeowners are invited to attend a free water wise gardening showcase. Learn from Sacramento experts about efficient irrigation practices, landscape design, water wise plants, the City’s water rebates, and more.

Vendors in attendance will be the Sacramento Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, Green Acres Nursery, SiteOne Landscape Supply, Rain Bird, Hunter Industries, Ewing, Sacramento Tree Foundation, and the Sacramento Chapter of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.

 

 

MULCH MAYHEM - MAY 4, 2019

In May we hold our annual Mulch Mayhem at the Sacramento Marina, where we give away FREE shredded cedar mulch and a really great soaker hose.  No need to pre-register, just show up before we run out!

 

RAIN BARREL EVENT - APRIL 27, 2019

This year’s Rain Barrel distribution event is on Saturday, April 27 from 8 AM – 12 PM! City of Sacramento customers can purchase 50-55 gallon rain barrels for under $30. Order your rain barrel BEFORE April 17 to take advantage of the offer!
