ADOPT A PET

Green Circular Checkmark
For available animals at the shelter, we are allowing in-person meetings from 12 pm - 5 pm, 7 days a week, and by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Green Circular Checkmark
To make an appointment, click on an animal's photo and follow the link in the profile. There are separate appointment links for dogs and cats, so please do NOT schedule a meeting with a dog on the appointment link for cats or a meeting with a cat on the appointment link for dogs.

Green Circular Checkmark
Each day's appointment schedule is made available to the public starting at 9 am.

Green Circular Checkmark
To ensure we can get enough animals adopted each day, your visit will be limited to 30 MINUTES.

Green Circular Checkmark
An appointment does NOT guarantee an animal will be available. To get animals out of the shelter as fast as possible, adoptions are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. In case the animal that you selected is no longer available, please have the Animal ID numbers of up to 2 other animals that you are interested in ready at your appointment.

Green Circular Checkmark
We are NOT able to facilitate meetings between owned dogs and adoptable dogs at this time. We can, however, make recommendations and give instructions for good introductions.

Green Circular Checkmark
If an animal is not fixed yet, we may allow you to foster-to-adopt so you can "test drive" the animal in your home before officially adopting.

Green Circular Checkmark
Many of our adoptable animals are in foster care. Click on their photo to apply and be connected with their foster family!

ADOPTION FEES WAIVED FOR MILITARY VETERANS

Adoption fees are waived for any person who presents a current and valid driver's license or identification card with VETERAN printed on it. Each military veteran is allowed one (1) dog or puppy adoption and one (1) cat or kitten adoption every 6 months.  NOTE: This discount does NOT apply to the special adoption fee for high-demand pets.

SPECIAL ADOPTION FEE FOR HIGH-DEMAND PETS

Dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in high demand may have higher adoption fees. By charging higher fees for those in high demand, this ensures we have funds to provide for animals with special needs or animals with difficulty in finding a home. An adoption counselor will let you know if a special adoption fee applies.
