The City of Sacramento 4th annual Flood Preparedness Outreach Event (Media & Press Only)

As part of California Flood Preparedness Week, the City of Sacramento is demonstrating how the organizations in Sacramento work together to  to ensure operational readiness so that we are prepared to swiftly respond and safeguard our community against flood-related hazards.  Media will be live, showing demonstrations from the City’s Department of Utilities and Sacramento Fire Department and our interagency flood-fighting partners on Oct. 16th.

Learn from the professional responders as they perform swift-water rescues, show how to fill sandbags, display large equipment used in flood fighting, and demonstrate several critical services they provide in flood prevention and emergency response.

This event will not be open to the public this year.  We hope to see you next year!
