The City of Sacramento PRESENTS the 4th annual "Highwater Jamboree" Flood Preparedness Expo Event

As part of California Flood Preparedness Week, the City of Sacramento is hosting an event for the whole family!  Come see how the organizations in Sacramento work together to  to ensure operational readiness so that we are prepared to swiftly respond and safeguard our community against flood-related hazards.  See live demonstrations from the City’s Department of Utilities and Sacramento Fire Department and our interagency flood-fighting partners on Oct. 16th.

Learn from the professional responders as they perform swift-water rescues, show how to fill sandbags, display large equipment used in flood fighting, and demonstrate several critical services they provide in flood prevention and emergency response.

This event is open to the public. Bring the whole family!
